Los Blancos move 10 points clear at the summit with 4-2 win over Osasuna
Vinicius Junior struck twice as Real Madrid moved 10 points clear at the top of La Liga with a 4-2 victory over Osasuna on Saturday. The Brazilian forward opened the scoring in the first half and added a second after the break to take his tally for the season to 18. Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio were also on target for Real, who have now won their last six league games.
Osasuna had briefly leveled the scores through Ante Budimir, but they were unable to find an equalizer after Vinicius' second goal. The result leaves Real in a commanding position in the title race, with just 11 games remaining. Barcelona, who are second in the table, can close the gap to seven points when they host Valencia on Sunday.
In other La Liga action on Saturday, Girona's fading title hopes suffered a setback as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at home to Cadiz. The only goal of the game came from Alvaro Negredo in the first half, and the result leaves Girona in seventh place, seven points behind Real Betis in fourth.
